ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque is urging people to clear out standing water to help prevent mosquitos from breeding after recent flooding. The city said if anyone sees bottles, tires, or any container with water in it, to dump it out.

Mosquitoes can carry diseases like West Nile virus, Zika virus, and heartworm. Residents can also call 311 for mosquito treatment around their homes. For more information on how to help prevent mosquitos, click this link.
