BATAVIA — The City of Batavia Water Department this morning is investigating a water break on Thomas Avenue just north of Main Street. The street will be closed to all traffic while the repairs are taking place.
Residents on Thomas Avenue should expect the possibility of the water being turned off. Superintendent of Water and Wastewater Bill Davis said the city will do its best to keep this to a minimum. Work should be completed by 3 p.m.
There is a possibility of discolored water. Avoid doing laundry if possible, Davis said.
