SHELDON—A 63-year-old Sheldon man was arrested about 8:45 p.m. Friday, June 30, on charges of fifth-degree criminal mischief and first-offense trespassing.
The arrest of Douglas Paul Kooistra stemmed from a report of him walking on the railroad tracks near Dairy Dandy, according to the Sheldon Police Department.
An officer found Kooistra at the Sheldon Union Deport. He was walking away from a black jug and can.
When asked what was in the containers, Kooistra said urine and water, and he was throwing it on the building to stop the electrical current, according to the incident report.
He also admitted to being on the railroad tracks.
