North Texas water park temporarily closes after 4-year-old’s drowning death, officials say


A Stephenville water park is temporarily closed after a child drowned Saturday, officials say.

Officers responded about 7:45 p.m. Saturday to Splashville Water Park in the 800 block of South Graham Avenue in response to a 911 call regarding a possible drowning victim, according to police. When they arrived, they discovered citizens and lifeguards performing CPR on a 4-year-old who was found unresponsive in the pool.
